
How Can I Get 1% Better?
The answer – Keep a Gratitude Journal.
My routine: Upon waking each morning, usually 4:45, I make a cup of coffee and begin my day
by writing in a notebook 3 -5 things I am grateful for. Then I read. This is one of the life-hacks to
a more happy life!
We have said this already, we have 60-70k thoughts a day and a large majority of them are
negative. Keeping a gratitude journal is a lifehack that provides intentional thoughts to your
mind, first thing in the morning.
Do this for 1 day and you will not feel a big difference. Do this for 365 days and you will have
rewired yourself to be grateful in all types of situations. We are built in such a manner that we
can only feel 1 emotion at a time so therefore it’s impossible to be grateful and hateful at the
same time. Try it for yourself. The next time you are mad, stop and start saying to yourself 3-5
things you are grateful for and watch your emotions change. #LifeHack
This is so simple to do but yet so hard. You need to create a trigger to make it a habit. My
notebook is the first thing I see when I sit down in my morning chair. Makes it easy to not forget
to do it. After 66 days, you have acquired a habit that you can’t stop.
